YES, someone younger can own the unit as long as someone 55 and older lives in the unit.

What are the apartments/condos like?
You have a choice of a few different types of apartment sizes which can be either purchased or rented. Our residences are bright and cheery, and equipped with all the modern conveniences.

Do I have to participate in the meal plan?
No. Home cooked meals are A La Carte, you pay as you go. Each residence is equipped with household size appliances for those who choose to continue to prepare their own meals. We go grocery shopping twice a week in Canterbury’s chauffer driven van (and the driver carries the packages to your residence!). With the addition of our in-home catering service, there is never a need to have to prepare your own food if you don’t want to.

What does housekeeping involve?
The housekeepers pick up the trash from your apartment every morning. Your apartment is cleaned once a week and your linens and towels are laundered.

What happens if I need more help?
You are in your home and can choose the people who come in to support you. Many of our residents already know someone who may be able to do odd jobs for you. The staff is so accommodating and go out of their way to see that your needs are met. We have 24/7 immediate emergency response.

What is the parking like?
You have a designated parking space and snow removal.

We have 44 units. Canterbury is comfortable and friendly, not overwhelming.

We enjoy a field trip outing every Wednesday, holiday events, birthday parties, Karaoke every Saturday, exercise M-F,

Are the management and staff helpful and caring?
Yes, ask any resident and they will have a story to relate how much they have been helped with tasks, problems, etc. and have been pleasantly surprised how the situation turned out. Emily, our executive director, is especially helpful, if you have any problems or questions, ask her and she will be most happy to help you out.
